Frequently Asked Questions
What does a typical day of rock climbing look like?
We offer two styles of courses. Half days (4 hours AM or PM) and full days (8 hours) are available. Our courses are tailored to your goals. You will meet your guide at the trailhead or the pre-determined location. Your Guide will provide gear and walk/drive with you to the climbing location. From there you will get your gear on, go over some fun safety stuff and then start climbing! Once you start climbing you can expect to be held tight by the rope as you go up and if you fall at any time it is OK! That’s what makes climbing so amazing is its okay to make mistakes, even encouraged! Our guides are certified, experienced, and know route options of all levels. We create a memorable, challenging, and safe environment.
Can I climb if I have no experience?
80% of our clients have never climbed before! We take clients out climbing no matter there climbing skill. We even encourage those who haven’t climbed to give it a try who knows it may be your new favorite sport! We all have to start somewhere and there’s no better place that with one of our wonderful guides! Many of our guides love watching the love for climbing be born in others. Its something that keeps our stoke for climbing alive and well!
What if the people in my group have different levels of skill?
We're experts in the area, so finding climbs for everyone in your group is easy, even in crowded conditions. We can set up one rope for multiple climbs of various difficulties or two ropes side by side for efficient and fun climbing. Additionally often time in groups of varied skill levels we can have someone else belay (we can teach this if they dont know how and are comfortable with it) which allows more people to climb at once!
Will you provide equipment?
We provide all the climbing gear you will need! All you need to bring is some water, snacks, sunscreen and whatever else you will need to be comfortable in the elements for the duration of your trip! If you have your own gear it may be more comfortable but it is not required. Just bring the excitement for what’s to come!
Is there an age limit?
We take out children as young as 4 years old, and on the flip side of that, we have no cap for age as long as you are willing to get out and try. We will help you achieve your dreams no matter your age! As they say age is just a number! If you’ve always wanted to give climbing a try and feel that you are to weak, old, or out of shape, we say come give it a try and surprise yourself climbing is truly a sport for everyone!
